Mushrooms and Hazelnuts Pâté

  1. 1 cup cooked green lentil
  2. 1 whole onion
  3. 3 cloves garlic
  4. 3 cups mushrooms
  5. ½ cup chopped onion
  6. ½ cup coarsely chopped hazelnuts
  7. fresh thyme
  8. olive oil
  9. salt and pepper
  1. Fry the onion in the oil until softened. Add the garlic, fry one more minute, add the mushrooms until tender. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for another 5 minutes or just until everything is well combined and heated. Allow to cool to room temp. Puree in a food processor until almost completely smooth (or completely smooth if you don’t like chunks) and serve with nice bread or crackers. Top with extra thyme and chopped hazelnuts.
